Dan Harmon Poops: HEY, DID I MISS ANYTHING? →
Kids:
A few hours ago, I landed in Los Angeles, turned on my phone, and confirmed what you already know. Sony Pictures Television is replacing me as showrunner on Community, with two seasoned fellows that I’m sure are quite nice - actually, I have it on good authority they’re quite nice, because…

(via Burning Man ticket fiasco creates an uncertain future)
Is it the end of Burning Man as we know it? That’s certainly the way things are looking to thousands of longtime burners who didn’t get tickets when the results of a controversial new ticket lottery system were announced on Tuesday evening, particularly as big picture information emerged in online discussions yesterday.

– Wendi Allen - ON a FB group for Burning Man Tickets“It’s hard to imagine that there are really 400,000 people wanting to go to BM this year… or even 100,000, which would be more in line with the 35% numbers I’ve been seeing. Regardless, it seems likely that the world will soon be swimming in BM tix. The result will be that most people who really want a ticket will eventually get one, but the key word here is “eventually.” How does a theme camp or an art crew plan when the STEP system doesn’t start until the end of February, and the final 10,000 tickets aren’t available until the end of March? My fear is that many camps and installations will be downsized or eliminated due to uncertainty. And what about people who need to book international travel, or rent RVs? Yes, there will be 56,000 people on the playa this year, but my fear that they’ll be much less in the way of contribution. It’s a shame, because I don’t see that anything at all was gained.”
Well said Wendi…
